Every miracle, parable, and teaching of Jesus recorded in Scripture is a precious gift that can draw us closer to our Father in Heaven. But out of everything the Gospels show us, the Beatitudes are lessons on precisely how to live—taught by Jesus himself.

Open Rejoice and Be Glad to find encouragement in living the Beatitudes.

Each Beatitude is explained through the words of Scripture, a reflection on its meaning, and an example from the life of a saint. Included are well-known saints like Francis of Assisi, Faustina Kowalska, and Teresa of Avila, as well as lesser-known saints such as Dulce Pontes, Maria Antonia de Paz y Figueroa, and Odoardo Focherini.

May you be inspired to live the Beatitudes with the timeless love of the saints!
